Our Founders
WahlheYmat was initiated and co-founded by Ivan Gabor and Barbara Vid, alongside Deana Mrkaja and Balazs Denes. As a registered non-profit association (gemeinnütziger eingetragener Verein) in Germany, WahlheYmat e.V. was established with eleven founding members, including Zina Hmidan, Silke Georgi, Gracjanna Daca, Sabine Stengel, Khaled Abdalla, and Robin Sontheimer. Additionally, Kate Dearden has been with us from the very beginning, and we proudly consider her an honorary founding member.

How to Become a Member of WahlheYmat
We offer two membership categories:
- Passive Membership
- Annual fee: €100 or €10/month
- Open to anyone; passive members do not have voting rights.
- Active Membership
- Based on Board approval after an application process.
- Fees:
- Students/Discounted: €100/year or €10/month
- Regular: €200/year or €20/month
- Supporter: €500/year
Joining as a passive member is automatic upon payment, while active membership involves a review process. WahlheYmat is open to anyone passionate about contributing to our mission and vision.
